In her work capacity for Assemblymember Berg, she serves as her primary speechwriter and prepared her floor statements when she spoke in favor of Assemblyman Mark Leno's Marriage Equality bills. Hirshfield brings with her unique experiences as someone that has been entrenched in state government, as well as local politics through her work as an advocate for progressive politics.
