Justin Nichols, a fifteen-year resident of Plano, has a long history of community service in Plano, a city located in Collin County outside of Dallas.
Nichols currently works for the Collin County Teen Court as an administrator for the juvenile delinquency prevention program. In 2004, members of the Plano City Council appointed Justin to the Plano Heritage Commission, making him the youngest person ever to a city commission seat. He recently resigned the post as chair of the committee (a position he was appointed to in 2006) to run for Place 1 on the Plano City Council.
Justin is dedicated to his work with youth including recruiting high school students to work on local campaigns, appointing college students as election clerks, and hosting a political forum for teens. In addition to his work in the community around youth, Justin has served as a Republican precinct chair and twice as a delegate to the Republican State Convention. In 2003, at age 18, Justin ran unsuccessfully for the Plano School Board against a nineteen year incumbent garnering an impressive forty percent of the vote.
