Sarah Peake is running for re-election
to the State House of Representatives, where she has been a tireless advocate
for her constituents.
Well-known in her district,
after serving for five years on the Provincetown Board of Selectman, Sarah has
tackled numerous issues affecting the community, one of the most important of
which has been the environment. Her
co-sponsorship of a clean oceans bill to ensure that citizens of the Bay State
will be able to enjoy beautiful oceans for years to come is one of the accomplishments
she cites as most important to her.
Sarah utilized her position
as freshman whip to protect marriage by educating her colleagues about the
potential real-life affects of the proposed anti-marriage amendment on LGBT
families. She is presently working with Rep.
Carl Sciortino, also a Victory endorsee, to fight for transgender rights.
