Ever since Larry Bliss moved to Maine 20 years ago, he has fought on behalf of its LGBT residents. He served on the boards of the Maine Won’t Discriminate Campaign, AIDS Project, Equality Maine and several other equality-minded groups.

The Victory Fund has routinely endorsed Larry in his bids for the State House. However, now that he has been termed out of his current seat, he has decided to seek a place in the State Senate. The incumbent in this seat has also been termed out, so the race is wide open.

Larry’s endorsement list includes a diverse collection of groups such as the League of Young Voters, Maine Hospital Association, Maine Council of Senior Citizens, Planned Parenthood of Northern New England and Maine Education Association.

He faces competition in both the primary and general elections, but he is a strong contender to win this seat.

Larry will not be accepting contributions for his campaign because he will receive public funds.
