Greg Pettis was first elected to the City Council of
Cathedral City in 1994. In his fourteen
years of service, Greg has pursued
policies to protect children, defend the environment, improve education and
drive investment in downtown Cathedral
City.
Greg’s public service spans beyond his official duties. He has also been a
leader in his community, serving as executive director of the Palm Springs Youth
Center, President of
Cathedral City’s Rotary Club and Desert Business Association, and as a board
member of the United Cerebral Palsy of the Desert and the Coachella Valley
Mountains Conservancy.
Regionally, Greg has demonstrated his ability to cut through
complicated issues and emerge as a leader.
He has served on the California Regional Water Quality Control Board,
the Riverside County Transportation Commission, the California League of Cities
and the Southern California Association of Governments.
Greg’s career is invested deeply in the lives of those he
represents, and he has never lost touch with his roots. Whether standing up as a local leader, or
fighting for the people of Cathedral City as a councilman, Greg has always
stayed true to his values and worked tirelessly to advance the causes of his
community.
