Gay man elected to Colorado House

Victory Fund president and CEO Chuck Wolfe issued the following statement on the election of Mark Ferrandino to the Colorado House of Representatives: 

"Mark is among a growing number of openly gay leaders who refuse to let their sexual orientation keep them from serving their communities as elected officials.  He will be a strong voice in state government not only for his district, but for gays and lesbians across Colorado."

The Gay & Lesbian Victory Fund is the only national organization  dedicated to increasing the number of openly lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender elected officials.  The nation's largest LGBT political action committee, it has helped to grow the number of out elected officials from 49 to more than 370 since its founding in 1991.
