40th Assembly District Democratic Candidate Laurette Healey Reports the Highest Contributions in the 2nd Reporting Period and Announces New Association with Veteran Fundraiser, Julie Sandino of Sandino Consulting

Laurette Healey has reported contributions of $110,754 compared to Bob Blumenfield with $105,508 and Stuart Waldman with $83,983 for the reporting period ending December 31.

"I have personally raised and loaned money to my campaign in the first two periods which has allowed me to cultivate my base and be highly competitive. I am pleased to announce that Julie Sandino will now handle my fundraising efforts in Sacramento.

"Laurette Healey is a rising star on the political scene. She has enjoyed a successful career as a self-made businesswoman and has served as Deputy State Controller in the Westly administration. She has the acumen to tackle the fiscal crisis in this state in a fair and balanced approach which is what has attracted me to her candidacy," states Julie Sandino.

Julie Sandino is a professional event and finance expert with more than 18 years of experience leading public, private and non-profit campaigns.  She is Founder and President of Sandino Consulting, a Sacramento-based firm. Clients and projects have included: The Packard Foundation, U.S. Sen. Hillary Clinton, International Communications Fleishman-Hillard, Inc., National Women's Political Caucus of CA, and the Ca Latino Legislative Caucus.  In addition, Julie was the Sacramento and Central Valley Finance director for Governor Gray Davis in 1997-2003.
