Oakley endorsed by Police groups

Ed Oakley has been endorsed by the Dallas Police Association and the Dallas Police Officer’s Political Action Committee in his bid to become mayor.  In announcing their decision, the groups said, “Mr. Oakley is committed to public safety, saying crime was the number one issue facing the citizens of Dallas. Oakley outlined specific plans for reducing crime, including the hiring of additional police officers and his recently announced plan to tear down some of Dallas’ worst crime-ridden, sub-standard and derelict apartments.”
