Top LGBT officials prepare to meet in Washington
Wed, Nov 19th 2008, 15:52Between Dec. 4-7, LGBT elected and appointed officials, as well as organization heads and community leaders, will meeting in Washington for the 2008 International Gay & Lesbian Leadership Conference.
The conference, which will take place at the historic Mayflower Hotel, will feature a diverse line-up of speakers and workshops.
Scheduled guests include:
- Congresswoman Tammy Baldwin
- Sunil Babu Pant (the first openly gay member of the Nepali parliament)
- Zvonimir Dobrovic (director of Croatia's Queer Zagreb Festival)
- Former Ambassador to Romania Michael Guest
- New York City House Speaker Christine Quinn
