Victory in Colorado!
Fri, May 4th 2007, 14:00State Sen. Jennifer Veiga has prevailed in her decade-long quest to
pass a bill protecting gays and lesbians from being employment
discrimination. The Colorado Senate has given final approval to the
legislation, and it now heads to Gov. Bill Ritter, who has promised to
sign it.
The LGBT community in Colorado owes a debt of gratitude to Sen. Veiga, the state's only openly LGBT legislator, for her hard work and perseverance in the fight for equality there.
